Associate Attorney General Tony West will be departing the Department of Justice, effective September 15.  West was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Associate Attorney General of the United States on July 25, 2013.  In this role, West advised the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General in formulating and implementing policies and programs related to civil litigation, law enforcement and public safety.  Previously, West worked as the Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division.  Stuart Delery, who currently serves as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division, will take over as Acting Associate Attorney General.
