On January 22, President Obama announced that Stuart F. Delery, presently the Acting Associate Attorney General, had been nominated to be Associate Attorney General.  The post of associate attorney general is DOJ’s number three position.  Until he was appointed to his present position in September 2014, Delery had for more than two years headed DOJ’s Civil Division, where his portfolio included (among many other matters) DOJ’s enforcement of the False Claims Act and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act (FIRREA).
